This airport uses less land and uses an uphill grade to slow the jets down on landing, saving fuel. A downhill take-off completes the concept.
In 2000, and again in 2001, Fred Mauney rode a bicycle without the assistance of a support team over 3000 miles across the heartland of America, from Salt Lake City to Washington DC and NYC.
The ride was in support of the Phoenix Charities, Salt Lake Community College, the American flag, and the only true-to-life poll of the American people about the coming presidential election and the serious grassroots issues facing the nation.
